The government created several initiatives to aid individuals in receiving benefits, but what makes ERC the biggest initiative in history?
Many companies were at the point of bankruptcy when the epidemic hit us like a meteor back in 2021. Due to low profits, some businesses had to terminate employees. The Cares Act of March 2020 included the introduction of the Employee Retention Tax Credit (ERC). If a company met the requirements for receiving this money, it made up to $26K per employee available to them. It became the most successful program in history due to the government’s courageous action.
