Rachel Streiff is a chemical engineering graduate from the University of Arizona. She has worked in semiconductor processing, biomedical, and industrial engineering and is certified as a Six Sigma Black Belt. She is currently a senior industrial engineer and lean manufacturing specialist at The Hillman Group in Tempe, Arizona. Rachel and her husband Carl have five children – one Wildcat and four Sun Devils.

The Streiff family is passionate about helping individuals and families struggling with chronic and serious mental illnesses. Rachel is a registered family mentor through the CURESZ Foundation and is a lead organizer of the Arizona Mad Moms – a grassroots effort to improve the treatment of individuals with SMI in Arizona’s healthcare and incarceration systems. She is on the public policy committee of the Schizophrenia and Psychosis Action Alliance (S&PAA), an important national organization dedicated to bringing visibility to the needs and causes of individuals with psychosis-related disorders.

Rachel is an outspoken advocate for access to clozapine, the only medication FDA-approved for Treatment Resistant Schizophrenia (TRS) and the only medication with an FDA indication to prevent suicide. Rachel is a founding member of The Angry Moms, a national effort to end discrimination against TRS and remove FDA-imposed barriers to this life-saving treatment. She serves as the data analyst and administrator for Team Daniel Running For Recovery From Mental Illness, a clozapine advocacy group founded by Dr. Robert Laitman and Dr. Ann Mandel. Rachel also supports a Phoenix-area clozapine clinic operated by Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Josiah Nwaokwa. She donates Athelas® device testing strips so that clozapine patients can obtain finger-prick alternatives to mandatory weekly blood draws.
